Alex Newton
Louise
Alex Newton trained at Hammond School of Dance and Central School of Ballet in London. She has performed with the English Youth Ballet, dancing the principal roles in The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle and Coppelia. She was a finalist in the film competition Straight 8 with her film The Daughters of the Late Colonel, and regularly puppeteers for Flabbergast Theatre with whom she performed at Latitude Festival. This is the first time she performs with Opera North.
Alex Newton will alternate the role of Louise with Beverley Grant.
